2024 VBS Faq Sheet
1. Will volunteers be fed dinner? YES! Food will be ready for volunteers starting at 5pm. Kids will eat during rotations.
2. What time do I need to be there? Cooks need to be here at 3:30pm, cafe servers at 4:30, registration at 5pm and all others by 5:30pm. Allow yourself time to eat so you can be at your assigned duty on time.
3. Where do I go and what do I need to do when I arrive? Enter through the kitchen door and get your name badge and any other materials you need for the night. Kitchen staff name badges will be in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone else will find theirs in the Sanctuary on one of the tables along the wall.
4. Will there be T-shirts? Yes, all volunteers will receive a shirt. They have been ordered and should be here by opening night. T-shirts this year will be yellow with red lettering and graphics.
5. Is there an offering contest? YES! Details to come! Will be boys vs girls.
7. What time is VBS over? We will end VBS each night around 8:45pm, depending on how long the message takes and altar response. Releasing kids will likely take 15-30 minutes and we will have a quick meeting at the end to discuss issues, praise reports and feedback. On Friday night, for those who are able we will stay and take down all decorations and clean the church to be ready for Sunday.
8. VBS setup will take place Sunday, June 23 @3pm. Bring ladders!
